About CVC DIF
CVC DIF (formerly DIF Capital Partners, operating through DIF Management B.V.) is the infrastructure strategy of global private markets manager CVC. It is a mid-market infrastructure equity manager that makes control and co-control investments, mainly in Europe and North America, with further activity in Australia. CVC DIF manages €23 billion of assets through two complementary equity strategies, and as of March 2026 it had 267 professionals. Its flagship DIF Infrastructure funds take lower-risk core and core-plus positions in mature, cash-generating assets with contracted or inflation-linked revenues. Its predecessor fund, DIF VII, typically wrote tickets of €100-200 million, but may invest as much as €400 million in a single transaction. The current fund, DIF Infrastructure VIII, is targeting €6 billion. The DIF Value-Add funds (formerly the CIF series) back smaller, higher-growth infrastructure companies and are raising their fourth vintage. The firm invests across energy transition and renewables, utilities, digital infrastructure (data centres, fibre networks and towers), transport, and social infrastructure, including public-private partnerships. Its investment activities include platform acquisitions, buy-and-build strategies, greenfield and brownfield projects, concessions and PPP tenders, bilateral deals with developers, and co-investment alongside its main funds. CVC DIF takes an active, hands-on ownership approach to build and scale its portfolio companies, and it draws on CVC’s global network, investor relationships and sourcing reach. CVC acquired an initial 60% stake in 2024 and will buy the remaining shares in stages by 2029. CVC DIF was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Amsterdam (Schiphol), Netherlands.
