Questions

Corporate development questions

Short answers before you sign up.

How do I find companies that could be acquisition targets?

Open Companies in AcquityData, choose a sector and country, then filter by ownership, founded year and revenue. Open the best matches to see their owners, investors and earlier deals, save the search, and add the strongest to a My Pipeline list.

Can I see what my competitors have acquired?

Yes. Open a competitor's company profile to see its acquisition history, or use the Buy-Side M&A filter to find companies that have bought others in a given sector or country, with deal value and recency filters.

Can I find companies that are not owned by private equity?

Yes. In the Ownership filter, tick Never PE-backed, Public or Private. You can combine these with sector, country, founded year and revenue to narrow the list.

Does it show how much was paid in a deal?

Where a deal value was recorded, yes, and it is shown as recorded. Not every deal has one. Check the source link on the deal, where we have one, before relying on a figure.

Can a whole team use it?

Yes. The Team plan costs $1,580 a year for 3 users, each with their own login, and you can add up to 7 more users at $500 a year each.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Sign in with Google for a free one-day pass with no card, or start the Monthly plan with a 7-day free trial. The Yearly and Team plans start right away.
