CCMP Capital Advisors, LP (formerly JP Morgan Partners, originally founded as Chemical Venture Partners and subsequently known as Chase Capital Partners) is an American private equity firm specializing in leveraged buyout and growth capital transactions in the United States and Europe. The firm concentrates on four core industries — consumer, retail and media, industrial, energy, and healthcare — targeting companies with enterprise values between $250 million and $2 billion and committing $100 million to $500 million of equity per transaction. Transaction types include leveraged and management buyouts, corporate carve-outs, divestitures, going-private transactions, growth capital financings, recapitalizations, secondary buyouts, consolidations, and stake purchases, with majority control as the standard ownership structure. CCMP traces its lineage to 1984 as the private equity and venture capital arm of Chemical Bank, with its investment professionals separating from JPMorgan Chase as an independent firm on July 31, 2006, alongside contemporaneous spinouts of private equity groups from other major banks including Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, and Credit Suisse First Boston.
