HM Capital Partners LLC (formerly Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Incorporated) was a sector-focused private equity firm that pursued control investments in middle-market companies across the energy, food, and media industries, as well as related sectors including telecommunications and business services. The firm targeted cash-generative businesses with defensible competitive positions and identifiable value creation opportunities, executing transactions including corporate divestitures, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations of privately held and publicly traded businesses, and acquisitions of distressed companies through restructuring or bankruptcy processes. Transaction activity was concentrated in the United States, with a geographic emphasis on the South, Midwest, and other domestic markets.
