CDP Equity

CDP Equity (formerly known as Fondo Strategico Italiano (FSI)) is an Italian state-backed investment company wholly owned by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. It takes direct holdings in financially sound companies of significant national interest and, since 2019, also invests in direct funds and funds of funds managed mainly by CDP Group asset managers. The company takes an active role in its portfolio companies through shareholder agreements covering board representation, growth options, and exit plans, and it partners with industrial and financial co-investors. It invests exclusively in Italy, supporting the domestic private equity, private debt, venture capital, and real assets ecosystem. Founded in 2011, the firm is headquartered in Milan, Italy.
